Described as “…an up and coming force to be reckoned with and a positive addition to the future of inspirational leaders in the country," S. Renee has already left her imprint on the hearts and minds of national and international audiences in just four years.
A former model, actress, television talk show host, producer, and spokesperson for United Paramount Network–Philadelphia, S. Renee has 20 years of expertise in image development. She now uses that experience to help people transform their personal and professional images via her book and development program, There Is More Inside. S. Renee’s clients include corporations, state and government agencies, educational institutions, and not-for-profits.
The core message of There Is More Inside is courage, confidence, and personal accountability. S. Renee believes that once you decide what you want, you can have it — if you believe in yourself. Specifically, you must align that belief with your desires, and then courageously work to achieve them. Combining highly interactive, motivational presentations, written exercises, and coaching, S. Renee's effectiveness can be measured by the fact that more than 95 percent of her business comes from repeat clients. In addition, 98 percent of workshop participants have shared, via written feedback, that S. Renee has helped them to shift, transform, and transition their lives.
The transformation in her own life is perhaps S. Renee's strongest endorsement. Using the principles she now teaches, she went from being a timid outcast to queen of her middle school. Later, she graduated cum laude from Delaware State University, in only three years. After gaining valuable corporate experience, S. Renee then launched a modeling career — despite being told that her 5’3” frame prevented her from being “model material.” That career lasted for more than a decade. She has worked with IMAN, Susan Lucci, Joan Rivers, and others.
In addition, S. Renee secured a talk show host position with UPN–Philadelphia, without taking a single class in broadcast journalism. As a host, she held a strong stance on addressing issues such as women and diversity, inequality in education and health care, neighborhood revitalization, violence, and the impact of negative images and lyrics on youth. She also interviewed Queen Latifah, the late Robert Urich and others. As a actress she has worked with Oprah, Danny Glover and other international notables.
Later, in just 8 months, she negotiated a promotion from admissions counselor to director of public relations at an institution of higher learning. The deal included numerous perks, including a $15,700 pay raise. Perhaps her biggest leap: earning speaking fees of a speaking veteran within four years of being on the speaking circuit. In addition to sharing the stage with Tony award-winning actress Tonya Pinkins at New York City largest business expo, she has received endorsements from top motivational speakers in the world.
In 2010, S. Renee was named in Delaware Today Magazine as one of Delaware’s Black leaders who is dedicated to bringing about justice and change. She was also recognized for her work in New Orleans when she, along with Commanding General Russell L. Honore and approximately 100 other distinguished alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the country, received the 2006 Distinguish Alumni Award from the National Association for Equal Opportunity.
